WOO HOO!!!
I guess I'd better get on finding Cory a coat, snow pants, and some boots! Not to mention gloves. He already has the cutest hat that my mom got last year and now it fits him perfectly! It even has ties so he can't take it off... theoretically speaking!
So, November is the month of NaBloPoMo... (family, that stands for National Blog Posting Month) where you try to post every single day. I'm gonna give it a shot. Goodness knows I'm far enough behind in all my summer recaps and such I ought to have enough material for 30 days of posts! And if I fall off the wagon mid-month... oh well!
Anyways, some of you may know that we are all going to Saudi Arabia in March. And since it has all kinds of crazy restrictions we have to have our passports now and get our visas really soon.
Cory and I got renewed/new passports in February since we thought we were going to Africa for Christmas. So we are good to go, but Brian's passport expires next summer and to get in to Saudi Arabia you have to have at least 6 months left on your passport. So he needs a new one.
He made a special appointment and went to the post office this morning to get his pictures... their camera is broken!
The local camera shop has apparently gone out of business as all their phones are disconnected. Walmart doesn't do passport photos and we don't have a Costco card!
Luckily at just that time our friend Dahlia called and told us about ePassportphotos. This is a pretty cool site that lets you take your own picture, upload it, and they help you get the right dimensions and then give you a file you can print wherever you want to (with 5 photos on one 4x6).
And today is a cloudy day... so we hung a white sheet over our door and took some mug shots.
These are not the exact passport images, but you get the idea...
Mug Shot
Cutest Boy Ever!
Seriously, he can't even do a "mug shot" without looking cute!
Of course it took 20 shots to get this one since he was smiling and having fun, putting his hands up, etc. all of which is against the guidelines! He's standing on a chair and we finally convinced him to put his hands down (which means that he's actually holding his hands) and close his mouth (his idea of that is biting his bottom lip so I hope that passes!). I'm just glad he knows how to follow directions!
Oh, and I promise there are also Halloween pictures coming soon! Like, hopefully tomorrow!
For some reason you got lost in my feed reader. Suddenly out of the blue you showed up today..I though maybe you were on a long blog hiatus.
ReplyDeleteAnyways love the mugshots, Corey's such a cutie.
Awww your son is such a cutie pie :) I can't wait to see picks from Halloween - I bet they are going to be beyond cute!!
