Who knew there were so many sites that give away stuff... and who knew about all the mommy blogs out there. It's kind of fun, but definitely could eat up all your time! I'm going to have to find a few that I really think are fun/funny and then quit! But while I'm at it, here's a blog that's giving away the new HP photo printer. Cool!
And here's one that's giving away a very cute blanket!
Doesn't it look like fun?
And happy 91st birthday to my grandma today - and my best friend (who is not 91!)

Thankful Thursday
Okay, I will admit I have been spending probably way too much time reading other people's blogs lately. But it's so interesting! And the ones I have found - by clicking links on friends I know's blogs - are just fun and encouraging!
But here's one I couldn't pass up posted by a lady named Jenn. She got the idea from someone else, but I don't think she'll mind if I steal it!
How many things can I think of to be thankful for on Thursday...
In no particular order:
1. A husband, Brian, who is willing (no, wants) to provide for his family and makes it possible for me to stay home with Cory. And watching him come home and play with Cory is just too precious for words!
2. A roof over my head (air conditioning!) and PLENTY of resources to survive on. ~ This should be a given, but it's made reality after spending an hour or so talking to my new neighbor who's recently moved here from Tanzania (with the accent on the Zan) and can now afford to pay his own rent, go to college, and still have money left over to send home to his sister so she can go to high school, wow!
3. Friends: lots of them all over the world, I can't even begin to say why I'm thankful for all of them because there are as many reasons as there are friends!
4. Cory, who's healthy and happy (when he's fed!) and my beautiful baby!
5. Family: Christian legacies for my children to follow. They will have no idea how blessed they are to have all Christian grandparents!
I'm sure I could go on all night... but I really should get some sleep - oh, and Thank God for routines and Cory sleeping through the night!!!
Good night all and God Bless!

Wedding Pictures
Okay, so I have spent entirely too much time on my computer playing with these tonight... but it's fun all the adjustments you can make... and it's hard to stop! But I need to go to bed so, without further ado, here are some pictures from the wedding on Saturday.
5 Months Old!
I'm 5 months old today! I've started eating cereal and as you can see I do a pretty good job of it!
Here's me and my bunny!
This isn't quite what I expected! It tastes funny, Mom!
The best part about this is that he did it 3 or 4 times and every time he would react the same way to either the feel or the taste of the bunny's fur! As you can probably see he likes putting things in his mouth, just about anything he can get his hands on or bend over to reach! It's getting a lot harder to hold on to him!

Middle of the Night Update
So, yes, it's 11:30 and I should be in bed, but I've been really bad lately about getting to bed before midnight. And Cory's been super fussy today so I'm sure I won't get much sleep... yay.
But, hooray! Brian has a job at Wenatchee High School! The same day I posted that we hadn't heard the principal called and said, "we'd like to offer you the job, but we have to wait for the district office to approve it". Talk about annoying. I almost wish she'd just waited to say "I can offer you the job" because we didn't know for sure that he would get it due to just having taken the math certification test on our way down here to Oregon. He's qualified under his science endorsement, but sometimes they can be picky.
Anyways, he has a job! So I can stay home with Cory, yay and double yay!!! I'm also thinking about starting a new business selling Discovery Toys. Anyone ever heard of them? I remember playing with Marble Works when I was a kid and I just think they have cool stuff so I guess I'd make a good saleswoman, right? :) At the very least I can get them for a discount for Cory!
So, T-5 (or it'll be 4 in a few minutes) days until the wedding! We are almost done painting the entire downstairs. Today we made a huge mess because the rec-room has wood paneling that had to be sanded... and I didn't think to tape up plastic in the hallway until we were half done. And I kept stepping on the little nails from the wallboards that were laying on the floor with the nails sticking up. Ouch!
Our plan is to be entirely done painting by Wednesday and then move everything back Thursday morning and take the rest of the day at the coast. I hope it's not too cold for Cory. It'll be fun though! First time at the ocean! Oh, and his bottom 2 teeth really show now when he smiles, it's adorable of course!
I've got some pictures now, but I think I'll wait til tomorrow to edit and post them since I really should be taking a shower to get rid of all the sawdust and then going to bed!

Life in Limbo
So sorry, no pictures for you all today. We're in Oregon and for one thing we haven't taken many pictures (can anyone say working and taking care of a baby?) and for another I didn't bring my cable. Ugh.
Anyways, Cory is being rather fussy the last week or so, but that could have something to do with the new tooth he now has and the top two we can feel coming in. Poor little guy. Plus his routine is all messed up and visiting a million new people can leave him slightly over-stimulated.
He is so cute though when he's in a happy mood!
I have been painting and painting and painting some more. Three tones of brown, which I didn't know if I would like, but it's really nice and warm feeling. The basement of this house (which is as big as a house unto itself) is getting totally re-done. And I'm the paint queen. Which is also kind of nice because when I'm painting I concentrate so hard that I don't have time to think about anything else...
1)Like the fact that neither Brian nor I have a job for this fall. We're still waiting to hear back from one school for him, but it's been a month since the interview... Thanks to the in-laws who are putting us to work while we're down here we'll be okay for another month or so... but subbing doesn't pay a whole lot. Double ugh.
2) and the fact that everyone's stress level is building as we get ready for a wedding in a week and a half. It's going to be very looooong and rather fancy (at least compared to ours!) so there are lots of little details and people involved. I just hope that everyone can relax on the day of and no one will know if something isn't exactly the way it was planned!
I think that's about our life in recap... and I can see that no one read my last post or else you all figured I knew who you were... =)

Where are you?
I'm sure some of you have noticed the little map on the right hand side of this blog. It tells where people are who read it. It's fun, but now it's gotten me curious because some of the dots I don't know who's reading! So... if you could, post a comment to this message and tell me who's reading the blog and where you are!
